Connecticut Superiors Refund Policy

Refund Policy

The Connecticut Superiors LLC (hereafter referred to as "CTS") is committed to providing a transparent and fair financial policy to all our members. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are processed, including the stipulation regarding non-refundable deposits and the commencement of our season marked by the first official practice.

1. Non-Refundable Deposit:

To secure a roster spot within any of our teams, CTS offers a non-refundable deposit. This deposit is a commitment to participation and helps in the planning and allocation of resources for the upcoming season. Once offered and accepted, this deposit becomes non-refundable under all circumstances.

2. Refund Eligibility Before Season Commencement:

Participants may be eligible for a refund of any payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit under the following conditions:

- Cancellation of participation is communicated in writing to CTS email address. Billing@ctsuperiors.com

- The cancellation request is received no later than one week prior to the first official practice of the season.

3. No Refunds After Season Commencement:

Absolutely no refunds will be issued once the season begins, which is defined by the date of the first official practice. This includes, but is not limited to, membership fees, participation fees, and any other costs associated with the season beyond the initial non-refundable deposit.

-Excusable Delays and Force Majeure: Any delay in the performance of Connecticut Superiors' obligations under this Agreement shall be excused when such delay is due to any cause or event beyond the reasonable control of Connecticut Superiors, including but not limited to, acts of God, fires, floods, weather conditions, earthquakes, epidemics, pandemics declared by the World Health Organization, acts of public enemies, wars, insurrections, riots, explosions, terrorist attacks, strikes, or government demands. A Force Majeure event shall not be considered a cancellation or termination of this Agreement unless Connecticut Superiors, at its sole discretion, provides written notice to participants stating otherwise. The time for performance of Connecticut Superiors' obligations shall be extended for the period of delay or inability to perform due to such Force Majeure event, as determined by Connecticut Superiors.

4. Season Commencement Definition:

For the purposes of this policy, the season is considered to have commenced with the first official practice. This practice will be clearly communicated to all participants and marked on the CTS calendar as the official start of the season. In instances where the demarcation of the first official practice might be ambiguous or not clearly communicated, the following stipulations shall apply to determine the official start of the season:

- Ambiguity in First Practice Date:  Should there be any ambiguity or lack of clear communication regarding the date of the first official practice, the third practice session offered by CTS will be deemed the official start of the season. This clause ensures participants have a clear and unequivocal benchmark for the season's commencement, even in the absence of direct communication.

- Tournament Participation as Season Start: In circumstances where the first opportunity for active participation in the season is through a tournament rather than a practice session, attendance and participation in the tournament will be considered as the official start of the season. This provision acknowledges the varied formats through which the season may commence and ensures participants are aware that engagement in such events marks the beginning of their commitment for the season.

These additional clarifications are intended to provide unequivocal guidance on the commencement of the season, ensuring all participants have a clear understanding of the timeline and their obligations therein

5. Requesting a Refund:

To request a refund before the season's commencement, as per the conditions outlined above, participants must:

- Submit a written request to billing@ctsuperiors.com.

- Include the participant's name, team, and reason for cancellation.

- Ensure the request is submitted within the stipulated timeframe for eligibility.

6. Implementation of Refund Policy:

This refund policy will be available on the CTS website for reference.
